@manoghosts@jamescswanton Blinks in Canadian. Oh! It’s a 19th C cottage core folly and not a casual dining place for rotisserie chicken. That makes more sense.
@WhichWayIsLaLa@tonichelleak My next-door neighbour brought my dog home after he found he could knock down a plank in the fence between the yards to visit their dog. I asked the neighbour if he could check _every_board_ on his side to make sure no others were loose. Because Whiskyjack certainly would be.
@BlairBraverman I discovered Whiskyjack’s adaptability when I severely injured my ankle and went from long walks and long runs to short hobbles and 2-3 5-7k walks per week with my senior father. It’s taken years, but we had our first 10 k run today.
@CAwkward I can't get over the last story. Was it before, during or after when knowing what good film was was your actual job and therefore if you're watching a bad film, you already know that? And did it torture him that he couldn't lecture you or did he blow past it?
@honey_child Unsolicited ice cream advice. If you happen to be going between the Circus Maximus and the Pyramide di Caio Cestio on Viale Aventino, my favourite gelato place is on the southeast side of the street near the FAO. It's called Torcè, they're wonderful.
@95hannahlouise The marriage of Charles and Diana (5 1/2). I also remember the news around the death of John Lennon when I was five, but it took _years_ to realize that's what I was remembering. I wondered why I had memories of people talking about Beatlemania, 'cause I'm old, but not that old.
