The calls for the resignation of Katharina von Schnurbein as the European Commission Coordinator on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life are unfounded, disgraceful, and based on false accusations and a misleading narrative.
They cause great harm to European Jewish communities by undermining one of their staunchest allies. For nearly ten years, Katharina von Schnurbein has been a tireless champion of Jewish life in Europe, standing with our communities during some of the most difficult moments — from the rise in antisemitism and terrorist attacks to increasing social polarisation.
She has played a vital role in advancing the EU Declaration on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life, the Council Conclusions, and the first-ever EU Strategy dedicated to this cause. Her commitment has translated into concrete policies, stronger protection, and broader recognition of the threats Jewish communities face.
In a time of rising antisemitism across Europe, especially since October 7th, when many Jews feel increasingly afraid and vulnerable, we must be able to count on leaders like Katharina von Schnurbein. We call for continued support for her work and reject any attempt to discredit her or weaken the fight against antisemitism in Europe.
From 1 July 2025, knowledge about the Holocaust will be a required part of the Dutch civic integration exam.
The government aims to ensure that newcomers understand key historical events that shaped Dutch and European society.
@SharikQureshi08@IranObserver0 This a shocking statement. Israel offers freedom, democracy and prosperity to all its citizens and is a light upon the nations. Please visit it before you call for its destruction!
@ignaziocassis@gidonsaar Congratulations for your excellent and courageous work especially in the present time Mister Federal Councillor Cassis. Every success in maintaining close contacts with your counterparts in Israel today, tomorrow and beyond.
@ignaziocassis Honorable Federal Councillor Cassis, Congratulations and thank you for this historic achievement! It will secure Switzerland’s prosperity and contribute to the wellbeing and security of Europe as a whole. The Parliament needs to speed up the ratification process.
Otd, 86 years ago, synagogues & #Jewish shops were vandalised. Jews were chased, beaten, arrested, killed. As we face the highest levels of Jew hatred since #Shoah & the shocking images of #Amsterdam in mind, we stand with Jews, oppose Islamism & any extremism, defend #democracy.
The constant statements made by @FranceskAlbs comparing Israel to Nazi-Germany are not only deeply offensive, but a gross distortion of history. This blatant Holocaust inversion and antisemitism weaponizes the tragedy of the Jewish people to demonize Israel.
Such speech by officials not only undermines the @UN’s integrity but also violates the principles on which it was established—principles born from the Nazi attempt to destroy the Jewish people.
It’s imperative the UN ensures its platforms are not hijacked to spread hatred and fuel division.
Accountability is needed now.
@SwissAmbUN_NY Thank you very much Madam Ambassador for your much appreciated efforts and the renewed call for the immediate and unconditional release of all the hostages held in Gaza. This is a prerequisite for peace.
Good to discuss with the VP of the 🇪🇺Commission @MarosSefcovic about more than 100 rounds of negotiations and good progress. The last mile will be very intense and requires all our concentration. Let's get to work!
@StopAntisemites The misuse of children to instigate hatred needs to be stopped. In the case of hatred for Israel and Jews we are again experiencing a terrible increase. Thank you for documenting it. It helps to mobilize everyone against it.

Today, Federal Councillors Karin Keller-Sutter and @ignaziocassis met with the members of the Swiss Bretton Woods constituency in Dushanbe. They discussed challenges facing the global economy and poverty reduction. Along with 🇨🇭, the constituency includes 🇦🇿 🇰🇿 🇰🇬 🇵🇱 🇷🇸 🇹🇯🇹🇲 🇺🇿.
@SwissGov@SwissMFA@SECO_CH This is an important milestone for Switzerland's international cooperation. We now need to mobilize all political forces in Switzerland and especially in Parlament to accept the IC Strategy 2025-2028 and pass all funding proposals without further cuts.
