Pakistan in 2025:
Anti-Shia violence has gone down by 95% (at its peak nearly 1,500 persons were target killed every year).
Christmas has been mainstreamed.
Just need to rope it the misuse of blasphemy laws and check anti-Ahmadi violence.
Evidence that forced conversions of minor Hindu girls has also gone down but more work required.
Issues of marginalization and persecution persist and must be systematically addressed.
Everyone sitting comfortably in Lahore urban areas keeps chanting the same slogan: clean streets, world-class public transport, parks, and top-of-the-line civic services all supposedly delivered by our very own CM Maryam Nawaz.
Now let me show you the real picture.
Yes, all of this is absolutely true but only if you live in Gulberg, Model Town, DHA, or a few other elite housing societies. That’s barely 25% of Lahore.
The remaining 75% of Lahore is a complete shit show.
No civic facilities.
No maintenance.
No traffic police because they’re all deployed to manage VIP routes and posh neighbourhoods. Choked gutters spilling onto roads.
Broken streets that haven’t seen repairs in years. Zero planning, zero accountability. Officials show up, take pictures, shoot a video for social media, send it to the head office and disappear. Problem stays. People suffer.
And let’s talk about irony:
The dirtiest vehicles on the road are ironically the “Lahore Waste Management Company” vehicles themselves. Filthy, neglected, embarrassing.
Want to see the actual Lahore? Visit Towns of Ravi, Shalimar, Wahgah, Data Gunj Baksh, Nishter (GT Road, Mughalpura, Canal Road (non-DHA side), Androon Shehr) and I can name dozens more. This is where the real population lives. This is where governance collapses.
So before praising the provincial government and running victory laps on TV and X, step out of the gated bubbles and visit this side of Lahore. Only then will the praise sound honest, not staged.

Only on Twitter will you see the audacity of insecure clowns posting pictures of an extremely beautiful woman while trying to convince everyone that she isn't. Get therapy.
LHC has issued notices on our petition challenging the tax on sanitary napkins and raising core questions of dignity, equality and the State’s priorities. This is a vital first step in ending the routine taxation of a biological necessity.

If the internet is any counterpublic to go on, many Indians celebrating the death of even a child on our side of the border is guised in eradicating ‘terrorism.’
In the worlds of @BBhuttoZardari, it’s no longer 2004 — the world has to move past viewing us Muslims as terrorists.
