Many years ago as a junior Dr I had the worst respiratory illness of my life within days of receiving the flu vaccine. I was bedridden for days and took me 6 weeks to fully recover. Now I know why
‘The study, which included healthy subjects, found a 65% increased risk of non-flu acute respiratory illness within 14 days of receiving the flu vaccine. The authors state, “Patients’ experiences of illness after vaccination may be validated by these results.” The most common non-flu pathogens found were rhinovirus, enterovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, and coronaviruses’

Strange that such huge craters go unnoticed from authorities who are supposed to check the roads
A man built his family home on the exact land his father farmed, and asked the architects to keep that history standing.
Binil Thomas grew up on this site in the foothills of the Western Ghats, near Wayanad, on land his father had spent years planting. When it came time to build his own single-storey, four-bedroom house here, 3dor Concepts didn’t clear the plantations to make room for architecture. They built the house to sit inside what was already growing.
Look at the entry structure in the first two images. That rolled, tunnel-like concrete form isn’t just a design flourish, it’s restrained enough to let the stone walls and the landscape stay the visual story, while still giving the house a signature you’d recognize anywhere. Inside, the material language stays honest, bare concrete ceilings, timber-framed glass walls, stone underfoot, nothing dressed up to look like something it isn’t.
The real move is how open the interior stays to the garden. Full-height glazing on multiple sides means the plantations his father grew aren’t just visible from inside, they’re part of the room. A man reading in a deck chair, framed by trees on every side, that’s not staging. That’s what the house was built to do.
2,906 sq ft, completed in 2025 for 85 lakhs. Proof that a serious home doesn’t need to erase a site’s history to feel new, it can be built as a continuation of it.
