بجلی کا بل واقعی ایک خوفناک حقیقت ہے. میرا اسلام آباد میں چھوٹا سا گھر ہے. میں کیونکہ ملک سے باہر رہتا ہوں تو گھر میں صرف کام کاج کرنے والے کچھ ملازم رہتے ہیں. گھر میں آج تک گیس کا کنکشن نہیں لگ سکا. چولہے سلنڈر پر چلتے ہیں اور واشنگ مشین گھر میں ہے نہیں. کوئی ایئر کنڈیشنر نہیں چلتا، کوئی ایئر کولر نہیں چلتا، ایک آدھ ٹی وی چلتا ہے کرکٹ دیکھنے کے لئے صرف کچھ گھنٹوں کے لئے، ایک فریج ہے، کچھ ٹیوب لائٹس، پنکھیں اور چند لیپ ٹاپ. روزانہ 4 سے 6 گھنٹے بجلی کی لوڈ شیڈنگ الگ. اس ماہ بجلی کا بل 90,000 روپے آیا ہے جو 300 امریکی ڈالر بنتے ہیں. پاکستان کا فی کس جی ڈی پی 1500 ڈالر ہے تو 20% فی کس جی ڈی پی بجلی کے بل کی نظر ہوگیا. مجھے پاکستان آئے ہوئے دو سال ہوگئے ہیں تو ٹی وی، ریڈیو، ڈیمز جس مد میں بھی ٹیکس لیا جارہا ہے اسکا مجھے کوئی فائدہ نہیں.

میرا امریکہ میں الحمدللّه بڑا گھر ہے جو دو ایکڑ زمین پر بنا ہوا ہے. چولہا بھی بجلی پر چلتا ہے اور واشنگ مشین بھی. گھر میں 8 کمرے ہیں اور سب میں جہازی سائز کے ایئر کنڈیشنر لگے ہوئے ہیں جو گرمیوں کی وجہ سے دن و رات چلتے ہیں. سی سی ٹی وی، سیکورٹی کیمرے، گارڈن میں ہائی وولٹیج کی لائٹس الگ. 2 کمپیوٹر سرور ہیں جو 24 گھنٹے چلتے ہیں. 4 کمپیوٹر، 7 لیپ ٹاپ، 17 فونز، 6 فریج اور75 انچ والے 6 ٹی وی بھی ہیں. گھر کا گیزر بھی بجلی پر چلتا ہے اور گھاس کاٹنے والی مشین بھی. آخری مرتبہ لائٹ 2 سال پہلے گئی تھی 27 منٹ کے لئے جب طوفان میں محلے والوں کا کھمبا گر گیا تھا. ان سب کے باوجود بجلی کا بل 175 ڈالر آیا ہے. امریکہ میں فی کس جی ڈی پی 70,000 ڈالر ہے تو بجلی کا بل ہوا .0.25% جی ڈی پی کا.

امریکہ میں بجلی ہی ملک سے کم از کم 10 گنا سستی ہے اور تنخواہ کم از کم 50 گنا زیادہ.

پھر آپ کہتے ہیں کے پاکستان سستا ملک ہے اور ملک میں بزنس کرو.

An MO (MBBS graduate) is offered 40 to 50k Pkr/month for 12 hours shifts, 6 days a week, in a private setup. It becomes almost 140 USD/month or $0.44/hour while the minimum hourly rate on Upwork is $3/hour. The scope of the medical field is on a constant decline in Pakistan.
