Father Christmas is being very kind to us and he’s helping us try and get some new men to come and dance with us in 2026. So, if you’re a chap in the #Shrewsbury/#Shropshire area and you fancy giving this brilliant thing a go, just get in touch either here or via our website at https://t.co/FX44S5DPgC

We'll be also celebrating that the Scots language is at last officially recognised in Scotland.
My Dey would be very happy, he taught me Scots and Doric.
Two powerhouses of women’s sport have launched the Women’s Sports Union to provide legal support for women and girls at all levels of sport.
Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies and round-the-world yachtswoman Tracy Edwards have vowed to bring sports’ national governing bodies to account. Not before time! No sport should allow males into the female category at any level at any age from grassroots through to elite.
The Women’s Sports Union will take legal action against those sporting bodies that are flouting UK law and allowing males into female categories.
WRN has been tracking the trans policies of sports throughout the UK since 2023. There are still 30+ sports that allow males into the female category (or have policies ‘under review’) despite the Supreme Court judgment, stating that the word woman ONLY applies to biological females therefore, there should be no males in the female category of any sport. Whether it’s parkrun or elite running, no woman should have to race or compete against a male.
Thank you @sharrond62 and @TracyEdwardsMBE for taking up the fight for all women and girls.

On 8th August 1296, the Stone of Destiny was seized by Edward I & taken to Westminster Abbey. 10 years later Robert Bruce was enthroned as King of Scots at the Feast of the Annunciation. The ceremony took place without the Stone of Destiny.
