I used to follow every match. Now I don’t even know which series is on. It stopped feeling special.

so, I have been thinking about this and came to the conclusion that it might be a clickbaity or hyped question (My opinion)

lately, I have been reading a book "Same as ever" by Morgan housel. one idea that stuck in my mind was

so, I was thinking if AI was changing the industry, what's the game is about ?

Lets apply causal chain to the question!

AI will automate software development.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
Reduce headcount & Developers become more productive.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
Software becomes cheaper and Standardized commodity.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
More companies build software with less capital/skill.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
Demand for software increases (since, Even 15y old can build an application to build)

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
New categories of work may emerge.

𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?
Some skills become less to zero valuable while other skills become more valuable.
(Like building what market needs, Security, Solving the right problem in a right way, Architecture)

BTW, After hugging face incident - AI Governance and Security already became a new problem.

Market reacts to events, those reactions create new events. In SaaS, especially everything is a layer over another, Solution to a problem might be the start to a next problem. So, My gut feeling says the 1 to N innovation will continue to survive (it will never die) but, i cant dismiss that the industry is in the biggest revolution period currently.

Also, With agents Software Industry will become hyper-leveraged! and people with T-Shaped skill sets will become gamechangers.

I got tired of the 15-step ritual every time I wanted wasmCloud on Kubernetes.

Namespaces. RBAC. CRDs. Operator. Checks. Repeat.

So I built wasmForge - a Rust CLI that does the whole thing in one command.

It checks your cluster, sets up RBAC + namespace, installs the CRDs (including the legacy ones), deploys the operator, and verifies everything is actually running.

Under 3 minutes. You just give it a kubeconfig.
