Now he’s traveling around MI (and CA) claiming over and over that the election was stolen from him in 2024. He knows he lost, just as he did on election night in 2024 when he called me to politely concede. And he’s claiming Detroit is to blame — just like Trump — as he prepares to claim fraud again if he loses in November.

At this point, everything he does is to appease one man. Even if it hurts Michigan and our very democracy. The old Mike Rogers has officially left the building.

I work the front desk at a small doctor’s office, and I wish people could see what happens on the other side of the phone. Every day, older patients call us confused.

They are told to use the patient portal, upload documents, check lab results online, fill out forms before the visit, and confirm everything through a link. Some of them do not know what a portal is.

Some do not have a smartphone.
Some have one, but they are afraid to click the wrong thing.
Last week, a man in his late 80s called about his test results.

He said, “Ma’am, I don’t mean to bother you, but the computer says I have a message and I don’t know how to open it.”
He sounded ashamed.
That broke my heart.

He should not have to feel ashamed for needing a human being.
Technology can be helpful. I understand that.

But when people who built this country are made to feel helpless because everything became a login and a password, we have gone too far.
Not everything needs to be an app.
Not every answer should be hidden behind a screen.

Sometimes people need a voice.
A patient person.
A real human who says, “Don’t worry, I can help you.”
Progress should not leave seniors behind.

Because one day, the world will move faster than us too.
And I hope someone is kind enough to slow down.

Great to be in St. Louis this week for @StopBigMoney's Kick Out Corruption Tour. The reason health insurance is out of reach for so many Americans is that insurance companies spend millions making sure politicians don't change the system. Same story with gas prices, housing, you name it. It all traces back to how money rules Washington.

It's why I've never taken a dime of corporate PAC money, and I'm one of only 6 senators out of 100 that haven't. It's time we uniformly ban corporate PACs from entering politics, and ban members from trading stocks while in office.

The President has made it clear through speeches, statements, official guidance, and continued legal action that he is seeking to use all possible tools to interfere with the midterms – including publicly lamenting that he did not send Federal forces to the polls in 2020. The uniformed military should not be deployed to interfere in our elections by any President.

Military leaders should be able to state that easily on that – on the record. It’s critical for our democracy that they uphold the law.
