I'm excited to announce that my new game Stairwell is now open to the public! I had many inspirations for the game idea, but that's a story for another time :-)

@JohnWhite274@realRubenSim Bad actors, unfortunately, will always exist, just like in real life, but that doesn't mean that we should give them the breathing ground that they desire. If a community member is able to enforce Roblox's own rules without any interference from Roblox admins, so be it.
@Conor3D The amount of pressure that's being put on players who still haven't scanned their faces is stunning. Despite psychological warfare that's being mounted by Roblox, a good amount of players still hasn't done it yet. Really speaks of their strong character.
@LuciaDJKez@CiphersVII@lluma3D Basing your whole argument on "just leave then" is certainly telling. Paying the required amount is no big deal for me, but let's not pretend that this and many other changes won't have an impact on the platform's future, and it may not be a bright one. Hopefully I'm wrong.
@LuciaDJKez@CiphersVII@lluma3D On the other hand, they are giving up the edge that they once had over others, putting Roblox on par with its competitors. Now I highly doubt that up-and-coming developers would choose to develop on a platform, where your pay is reduced and product's not under your full control.
@LuciaDJKez@CiphersVII@lluma3D Now imagine if thousands of developers take your advice and take their experience elsewhere. Roblox has always used to pride itself for being a free platform for developers, so why bother staying, where payment is required just like in competitors, yet moderation is constant?
@dailyrobloxsong Haven't heard this song in so long, yet I still hummed along by memory, that's how good it is. 2017-2018 era FE2 certainly had its charm!
Until they find a way to restrict playing games for folks like me completely, I'll stick around and watch how this situation unfolds. Finally, I thank you all for checking out my projects, even if they weren't of best quality. The few visits I did get always brought joy for me.
Well, looks like my hobby of developing games on Roblox has come to an abrupt stop thanks to the upcoming update regarding age limitations. Sucks that this all happened right before my 10th anniversary of playing Roblox as well.
As for me, I have been considering learning a new engine for quite some time, so this update might just be the sign that I should jump ship before it's too late. I sincerely hope that they will revert these updates, but it seems unlikely with each day.
@LuciaDJKez@KreekCraft Because it's for these reasons I haven't done a face scan, and I'm not going to, which automatically means folks like me will never build up an audience for their games. Now yes, I could still develop for my own pleasure, but such motivation only goes so far.
@SuperBevarooni@LuciaDJKez@KreekCraft Oh, I understand perfectly. Developers complaining about DevEx rates is a tale as old as time, so I bet them having to pay 5$ on top of that will certainly leave an even sourer taste.
@LuciaDJKez@KreekCraft Accessing 16+ demographic requires an age check, aka face scan, which is not good at estimating your age. No clue why they're still embracing face scans, especially after it was found out that the company responsible for this technology doesn't delete its data.
@LuciaDJKez@KreekCraft Where did I say they couldn't? Are you forgetting that they will now have to pay 5$ a month just to retain audience from all age groups? And that's on top of having their income halved thanks to DevEx. As a hobbyist developer myself, this is devastating to say the least.
