A year and a day ago, I lost a very special friend.
What started through Make-A-Wish became a friendship I’ll always treasure. Daily, I would get a video or text from her and her friends…She brought so much joy into my life, and I miss hearing from her. I have yet to break the habit of waiting for a video from her. They truly made me smile.
When I learned she wasn’t doing well, I got on a plane to Minnesota to be with her. She passed while I was in the air. Her family showed me a kindness I’ll never forget by letting me say goodbye. They also gave me her favorite blanket and the journal she kept about our time together. I still haven’t been able to read it. One day, I will.
There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about her. She reminded everyone around her how much light one person can bring into their day and their lives, no matter how short their time here.
Missing you always. ❤️
30 years of Wannabe! ✌️
Happy birthday to the song that changed our lives forever. Thank you for making it part of your lives for the past three decades ❤️ #Wannabe30
Rob Reiner has been posthumously nominated for an #Emmy for his role in Season 4 of “The Bear.”
This marks Reiner’s first Emmy nomination for acting since 1978, when he won the award for best supporting actor for his role as Michael “Meathead” Stivic in “All in the Family.”

WWE's Liv Morgan's Stalker Found Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity.
A federal judge in Florida has closed the case against the man accused of stalking WWE Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan. Shawn Chan, a 42-year-old Canadian citizen, was found not guilty by reason of insanity on a charge of interstate domestic violence after a short bench trial.
Two psychologists who evaluated Chan determined he could not appreciate the wrongfulness of his actions because of a severe mental disease.
On May 31, 2025, Chan traveled from his home in Ontario, Canada, to Morgan’s residence in Pasco County, Florida. Surveillance footage captured him at the empty home for more than two hours. He searched around the property, left a handwritten note describing it as a “friendly visit” and including his contact info, and at one point picked up an air rifle pellet gun from the porch while trying to open the front door.
Days later, on or around June 3, 2025, he showed up at the WWE Performance Center in the Orlando area during an NXT taping that Liv Morgan was attending. Security recognized him from the earlier footage and took him into custody. He was initially held in Pasco County before the case moved to federal court because he had crossed state and international lines.
Chan had been detained for just over a year by the time of the verdict. Since he is a Canadian citizen and not a U.S. resident, the U.S. Marshals Service coordinated with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. He was turned over to ICE custody and remains incarcerated in Hernando County, Florida, while deportation proceedings move forward.
More than 40 years ago, I arrived in Chicago in search of an idea. I was a young man looking for purpose, who believed deeply in America, was inspired by the Civil Rights Movement, and wanted to be a part of something larger. The America I believed in was one where everyone has opportunity, everyone is seen, everyone belongs—because that was an America that had a place for me, too.
