This is so true, its a sad state we are in. Despite this situation in many ED's across the country, as HCP's we strive to provide our patients the best care possible. BUT it is definitely concerning, how long can we continue on the brink?
We keep hearing how our healthcare system is collapsing (which it is). But that does nothing to improve our understanding.
Let’s use a hypothetical emergency department visit to highlight the disaster that is happening every day around the country.
Here’s a thread 🧵:

It's official, I have passed my Advanced Clinical Practice Msc with a distinction!!! Thank you to all the wonderful people @teamEDnuh @QMCEDACP special thanks to Emma+Harriet. Now pass me the champers! 🥂
2/2 I have now completed my 3 years Msc, whilst I accept I am a junior clinician, I like to think I can competently perform an examination and refer patients appropriately... how do we change cultures/perceptions of specialities? Presence? Education? Constant badgering??
Twice in the last week I have had SpRs belittle/disregard me for being an ACP and not a Dr. I am lucky to have a very supportive team with great Dr's who politely told said Dr's this was not acceptable. However, it still upsets me a bit and left me feeling a little deflated 1/2
Well I have just completed the LAST assessment for my Advanced Clinical Practice Msc!! 🥳🥳 25minute presentation followed by questions to defend my proposal 🥵 now just to wait for the results 🤞
