It has always taken spiritual courage, born of faith in Jesus Christ, to be His disciple. In my responsibilities in traveling throughout the earth, I am so impressed with the remarkable disciples I meet.
It is our faith in Jesus Christ that gives us the courage to minister to others, live the word of wisdom, keep the law of chastity, honor the Sabbath Day, be honest in our tithing and to trust in our Father and His Son when unforeseen illness, financial troubles, or natural disaster upend our life.
I promise you that as you strengthen your faith in Jesus Christ by believing and following Him, and keeping His commandments, your answers will come, your spiritual power will increase, and your courage in Christ will define your character.

Lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ best reflect the Savior’s teaching and direction when they joyfully live lives of integrity and virtue.
The virtuous Christlike life necessary to sustain us and propel us along the covenant path has never been more important or challenging.
What we are seeing in society and social media today is conduct and language that is often coarse and crude and lacks virtue. Any use of the internet to bully, destroy a reputation, or place a person in a bad light is reprehensible.
It is clear, evil communications are not just a matter of bad manners. If practiced by Latter-day Saints, they can adversely affect others who do not have a knowledge of God or a testimony of our Savior.
We cannot control the conduct of others, but we can strive to be a peaceable people who live in accordance with the Christlike conduct and virtues taught by our Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Lord wants us to experience the joy of a virtuous life. He provides us with many beautiful gifts both physical and spiritual. Those who make sacrifices in His name will be richly rewarded.

Jesus Christ has done everything necessary for you, for us, to have joy in this life and forever.
Even when we make mistakes and feel discouraged or wonder if we will ever be good enough. There is good news—wonderful, hopeful news!
Because God loves us, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who took upon Himself our sins so we can repent, be forgiven, and keep progressing.

Latter-day Saints!
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the love and hospitality you’ve shown me over the last two days.
You are truly the embodiment of Our Saviors command to love one another, and I was so honored to share this sacred event with you!
I cannot thank you enough.
Thank you @cardonellis and the LOVELY Monica who drove me and showed me around.
Thank you to @WardRadioShow who paid to bring me out.
Thank you to @trevordlarson for putting me up in the fanciest hotel I’ve ever been in!
And thanks to everyone for all the handshakes and hugs and kind words.
I teared up more times than I’d like to admit!
Although I am well on my way back to Wisconsin, this is NOT the end. This is the beginning.
I truly felt the presence of The Lord this weekend. In your kindness and passion, in the words of your apostles and especially President Oaks whom I am grateful to have been able to listen to in person!
I also got to live out a lifelong dream of listening to the @TheTabChoir!
And the Temple! In the words of my lovely wife, “The LDS really know how to glorify God with beautiful construction.”
I am returning home more motivated than ever to advance the cause of interfaith dialogue and relationships.
I could go on, but I must make an end to my writing. ;-)
So, in closing out this trip… I love you all, may God Bless you… good night!
Love, your Catholic Brother from Wisconsin!
As your president, I pray for what our Heavenly Father wants for each of us—to be active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, proceeding forward on the covenant path into the eternities. We need one another’s prayers. I feel the positive effect of your prayers. I am thankful, and I love you.
Even when answers do not come in the way we expect, fasting and prayer help us develop greater confidence in the Lord, in our covenants with Him, and in His plan for our lives, as well as a deeper willingness to accept His will.
Through this holy law, the Lord also invites us to look beyond ourselves and turn our hearts toward His children.
Thus, our fast becomes not only a personal act of devotion to God but also an outward expression of Christlike charity and love.
You will draw nearer to the Savior, receive strength to overcome your weaknesses, and become more sensitive to the needs of others. Through these divinely appointed practices, the Lord will sanctify us and pour His Spirit and blessings more abundantly into our lives.

Many of our hearts ache for loved ones who have stepped away from obedience to God’s laws.
In our grief, we continuously ponder the whys, hows, and what ifs. We feel we have failed. We preach, teach, and invite—but often to no avail.
By divine design, brothers and sisters, everyone must choose for themselves to follow Jesus Christ.
I ask you to turn over to Jesus Christ your despair for those wayward souls.
We cannot change their hearts, but He can; He is a God of miracles.
Our Savior has already paid for the sins and errant choices of all of God’s children, including those for whom you and I grieve. He knows them. He knows their hearts; He loves them. He gave His very life to bring them home, all the way home.
By the power of Jesus Christ’s Atonement, there is always a way back!
In the vernacular, the Savior says to all who grieve, “I’ve got this!”
Never, never, give up on those you love.
Remember Jesus Christ is the answer. He is, always has been, and always will be.
Trust Him. He’s got this!

Your loved one who has stepped away from the faith already has a Savior. He is infinitely loving and mighty to save. They are in very capable, nail-scarred hands. Trying to control their faith usually creates more hurt. Letting the Lord be their Savior frees you to be their mom, their brother, their friend. Jesus Christ is working on them, and He's working on you too. The Lord sees far more than a membership record; He sees their heart. So let go of fixing, and enjoy the wonderful person in front of you.

Halfway through her pregnancy, a young mother learned the baby boy growing inside her would not survive outside her womb.
She carried him for another four months knowing that for as long as he remained inside her, she could keep him safe.
Peter James Raridon was born September 11th.
His mom Anna and dad Eli, a rookie tight end for the New England Patriots, learned during their 20-week anatomy scan that Peter had anencephaly, a fatal condition affecting development of the brain and skull.
Instead of preparing to bring their first baby home, they spent the remainder of the pregnancy loving him while knowing their time together would likely be painfully short.
Anna says she is grateful she got to love Peter, protect him and be his home for nine months.
Then she wrote the words that absolutely broke my heart:
“I have loved you every second of your life & will miss you every second of mine.”
Anna and Eli are leaning heavily on their faith, believing their son’s life had meaning regardless of how brief it was and that their goodbye is not forever.
One of the images they shared shows Peter’s tiny footprints inside a Bible.
A reminder that this little boy was here, he was deeply loved, and he will always be their son.
Please pray for these young parents and for every mother and father who understands the heartbreak of loving a baby they never got to bring home.

Back on September 11, I said that if X monetized me, I would donate the money to Tunnels to Towers, a foundation helping surviving first responders of the attacks.
X did not monetize me for September 11, and my revenue sharing was reinstated a couple days later. Nevertheless, I donated my paid partnership revenue, as well as a sizeable portion of the surrounding creator revenue sharing amount, amounting to several hundred dollars.
I encourage you to donate to Tunnels to Towers or other September 11 survivors’ organizations. Doing the coverage all September made me realize the unimaginable scale of the events’ horror for the first time, and the effects with which many are still living, notably cancers and disabilities.
Overall it has been an honor to try and do right by this tragedy, and I hope you will all stick around as I cover the rest of 2001, then 2002, 2003, and onward.
Christians will not hijack planes in the name of Jesus.
Jews will not blow themselves up in the name of Moses.
Mormons will not behead you for leaving the faith.
But there is one religion that absolutely DOES do these things on a daily basis.
Can you guess which one?
It is despicable how media outlets are dog-piling on Don Johnson’s daughter for trying to help her parents.
In case you haven't seen the viral video, Don is an 81-year-old veteran working as a lost luggage delivery man to pay for his wife’s pancreatic cancer treatments. When video of him hauling heavy luggage up the stairs went viral, his daughter, Amy, set up a GoFundMe to help him finally retire and care for his wife. Good Samaritans pitched in more than $700,000 to help the Johnsons. But they didn't see a single penny of that money. GoFundMe quickly took down the fundraiser and refunded all of the donations. Why? Because his daughter used a pseudonym to set it up in order to preserve her privacy.
Of course, the media decided to pile on, jumping at the chance to tear them down. It’s disgusting, but the Johnsons are NOT giving up and NEITHER ARE WE.
They have a new GiveSendGo campaign live right now. So let’s do what America does best and help this hero take care of his wife.

“The BYU game will not be over for at least two hours. In fact, I’ve cut my talk a little short so that you—not I, but you—can watch it.” - Gordon B Hinkley
On Saturday, October 4, 2003, BYU was scheduled to play at San Diego State after the evening priesthood session of general conference. Before his closing remarks, President Hinckley gave his usual reminder to drive carefully and obey traffic laws. Then he turned the reminder into a joke for Cougar fans eager to get home.
The congregation laughed and BYU went on to beat San Diego State 44–36 that night.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broke ground for a new chapel in Grand Blanc, Michigan, on Monday, September 28, 2026 — exactly one year after the attack that killed four people, wounded eight others and destroyed the building. Church leaders also dedicated the site where the new meetinghouse will be built.
“It’s a symbol of hope, a new beginning,” said Jeff Schaub, leader of the Grand Blanc congregation, or ward. “We talk about that a lot in the gospel [of Jesus Christ] — that we can shake off old things and we can start anew and we can rebuild with hope and faith. This is a reminder of that. Bad things have happened, but we don’t have to tie ourselves to those bad things. Because of the Savior Jesus Christ, we can start a new chapter.”
