On January 6th, we are reminded what the oath really means. An oath to the Constitution is not to a person, a party, or power- but to the rule of law itself. Honoring that oath requires restraint, truth, and the courage to put country over party.

Today, we honor the law enforcement officers who lost their lives as a result of that attack and its aftermath. Their service and sacrifice stand as a devastating reminder of the real human cost of political violence.

Here at the Rachel for U.S. Senate campaign, we honor the lives lost on that fateful day and wholeheartedly condemn the actions of those who participated in the riot, as well as the failures of leadership that fueled misinformation, undermined trust in our institutions, and helped create the conditions for this tragic day in our country’s history.
