After more than 2.5 years of bargaining and mounting a nationwide strike threat, we have come to a tentative agreement with Audubon management. The 3 year deal is a direct result of the dedication and hard work of our membership. We will proceed with a ratification vote.
ICYMI: The @thebirdunion is striking in response to @AudubonSociety violating labor laws. Support the workers who protect birds by donating to their strike fund. Help offset the costs of basic needs while on strike.

We're SO READY. This gives me so much energy and joy to see how united we are.
@DrElizabethGray it's not too late to eat crow and admit it's not a good look to argue the NLRB shouldn't exist at all rather than settling the ULPs!
As of September 1st, @audubonsociety has officially withheld more than one year’s worth of annual pay raises for members of the Bird Union. A conservative estimate for the total amount being pocketed is at least $840,000. This doesn’t count lost interest or 403(b) contributions.

.@audubonsociety CEO @DrElizabethGray has refused to address any of the FOUR outstanding Unfair Labor Practices that the @NLRB has officially charged Audubon with.
It’s why we’re preparing to strike next week.

In other words, @audubonsociety CEO @DrElizabethGray is using the very same SCOTUS ruling that could undermine environmental safeguards to argue that the @NLRB doesn’t have authority to enforce labor laws.
Audubon management is putting labor protections at risk for all of us.
NEWS: @audubonsociety is challenging the constitutionality of labor law in response to the @NLRB complaint that found management committed several Unfair Labor Practices.
Audubon CEO @DrElizabethGray joins Elon Musk and others in this anti-union approach. https://t.co/QkdFN9isch
While @audubonsociety CEO @DrElizabethGray is at #COP28, management has informed us that they will be giving annual raises this year to everyone EXCEPT for Bird Union employees.
🚨BIRD UNION NEWS🚨
The National Labor Relations Board (@NLRB) has found merit to the Bird Union board charges and will issue a complaint against @audubonsociety detailing multiple violations of federal labor law—including failure to provide information.
@DrElizabethGray#BirdsTellUs that you're not being responsible and respectful of the workers who make it possible for Audubon to function and do good work. The transition to a better future includes meeting your staff at the bargaining table - and negotiate fairly. 🦅
An update from the Bird Union: We have filed an NLRB complaint alleging that @audubonsociety has broken federal labor law. They have downgraded healthcare benefits, pushing costs on the lowest-paid staff & violating our right to status quo conditions during bargaining. 🧵
We ask @audubonsociety to take this opportunity to work with the union and negotiate an effective grievance process that resolves issues.
And more broadly we ask @audubonsociety to stop rejecting our proposals.
@ChadWitko You're smart - only after squinting at a Magnolia Warbler outside my window for 10 minutes did I remember I own binos and they *can* be used inside lol
🌀 Here is the 7am Tropical Weather Update from @NHC_Atlantic Watching multiple systems in the Atlantic but none will threaten the area and it looks like we will get through August without a tropical cyclone in the Atlantic 💪. #LAwx#MSwx
I'm beyond proud that @audubonforall is present at the Audubon board meeting today. It's time for Audubon executives to start working with the #BirdUnion in good faith toward a fair contract.
