Permalancers at Condé don’t get paid time off. Today, while staff are afforded a paid company holiday, our permalance colleagues are left with one less day of compensation.

We’ve called this out before, but it reinforces the idea that full-time employees are granted their bodily autonomy as protected by a corporation whereas hourly workers are not.

Last night, the @nytimes posted a graphic listing @CondeNast as a company offering access to abortion services they may not be able to obtain in their state. This isn’t 100 percent true.

While the Supreme Court planned to overturn Roe v. Wade last night, there was also a fashion party called the Met Gala where permalancers, videographers, & editors worked overtime to make Condé Nast videos. On social media, they all went uncredited: but that changes today➡️
