What a wonderful sight! A thousand streaks of color are flying above the Washington Monument grounds for the Blossom Kite Festival. Like cherry blossom petals caught on the breeze, the kites are drifting, diving, and dipping through the sky. It's fun for everyone!

From the Interim President of @Georgetown:
Over the past few weeks, the lives of thousands of public servants have been disrupted with reductions in staff at federal agencies.
Facing this, deans and program leaders have asked themselves, “How should we live Georgetown’s mission at this moment? How could we support public servants who have lost their jobs? How can we support our students who face new challenges to being people for others?”
Our university response: we expand opportunities for education.
I am proud to announce that today we are launching a program to offer scholarships for tuition reduction and additional career services for graduating seniors, recent alumni, and current or recently separated federal civil government employees. We want to help
them retool, to update knowledge and skills, and prepare for new ways forward.
We have developed a new website with information on this program as well as new career resources. These resources include career counseling seminars and professional development opportunities for those interested in building new skills or quickly pivoting
their career with Georgetown’s graduate programs.
