Absolutely ecstatic to match at Emory for my interventional cardiology fellowship! Very thankful for my mentors and training at @PittCardiology and @PittGIM over the last 6 years!
@AppleTechStar@CardioPriPri@CaliRClark@AdnanKhalifMD@nazliokumus These small sample retrospective articles don’t show patient outcomes long term/inpatient. In the acute setting, it may look like we have fixed the patient but downstream, those who have HFrEF have increased risk of cardiogenic shock. The point is that more information is safer.
@AppleTechStar@CardioPriPri@CaliRClark@AdnanKhalifMD@nazliokumus These articles are only proving that diltiazem reduces heart rate which we already know. That’s why diltiazem is the most effective drug in afib with RVR. The point is that it is very harmful if used in the wrong population of people like those in HFrEF.
@delton@CardioPriPri@CaliRClark@AdnanKhalifMD@nazliokumus Agree with @CardioPriPri as you have to consider when you do this and lead someone into cardiogenic shock, you’re not only causing harm to the patient but also prolonging hospital admission length of stay, thus decreasing bed availability and increasing ER boarding
A great cardiogenic shock symposium with some incredible speakers! Let’s talk about it’s relevance to @emergencymedicine #Pittsburgh#CardiogenicShock@UPMC
Happy to share our new editorial in @JNCjournal highlight the evolution of attenuation correction in myocardial perfusion imaging! Thanks to @premsoman123 for his mentorship and guidance. @PittCardiology

So thankful and blessed for the family and friends that made this weekend possible ❤️ Officially graduated from residency and ready to start the next chapter at UPMC as an emergency medicine attending physician while pursuing a Masters in medical education. God is good🙏 @upmcem
Last night, I took care of my first ever pediatric cardiac arrest. No amount of training will ever prepare you for what that feels like. Thankful for an amazing crew and all their hard work. Some things, unfortunately, are just out of our hands.
