@Vitawealth1 No right or wrong answers. Just doing something similar. I’ve gone for a 5 year fixed and extended my mortgage term from 15 to 20 years to make the increased monthly amount a bit more palatable.
@GameliaTyburn@Marcus___007 I worked at ChildLine in the 90s. No-one worked for Esther. She was chairman and didn’t really have anything to do with the staff. She had strong opinions and a passion for how she thought it should be run. I have mixed opinions about her but bullying of staff is not one of them.
@AlisonMoyet@mellor824 I’ve seen the set list and there is a healthy mix of bangers in there. Just ain’t no pleasing some people. Looking forward to Cambridge!
@GMFinX I earn £75k. Single parent to two. London mortgage, decent car, had to pay for ft child care 0-5, never claimed anything. We have regular although modest holidays and don’t skimp on treats. I’ve worked hard to get there. It’s all about budgeting and living within your means.
@James_Merry_@diplobrocus It’s not just people who can’t/won’t find jobs. My 32yo daughter diagnosed with cancer. Had to give up her job and home. UC process has been more depressing than any of the health stuff we have been through. Neither of us had ever stepped foot in a job centre before. Its grim.

As an inconvenience and like they are on the scrounge for “free money” (their words not mine). Have made her jump through hoops for £400 a month she is perfectly entitled to. Had to sign a “commitment agreement”. Asked them what they are going to commit to to make things just…
@itssalvadiaz Had a hygienist appt. Arrived ten mins early. Checked in, sat in waiting room. Finally asked what was happening 30 mins post appt time. Hygienist had gone home. Forgotten I was there. I had arranged childcare, rearranged my working day and paid for parking, not to mention time.
@alexanderrX_ NHS staff are offered very favourable rates to lease cars as salary sacrifice. Probably the largest provider of new cars on the road, especially EVs. Nowhere near £500 a month for lower end budget cars and includes all insurance, servicing, breakdown, tyre cover etc.
@ZainabSana2622 Radiographer: I need you to fill out a form <proceeds to fill out form herself>. When was you last period?
