Mt. Rainier created its own masterpiece this morning 🚀🌄
A sun rays stretched straight from the peak into the sky, cutting through the shadow in a rare and striking column. Every moment shifted as the sun climbed higher.
No editing. No exaggeration.
Just timing, light, and the geometry of the mountains.
Some mornings don’t just rise… they command attention.
Beautiful clouds formation over Mount Rainier, and because the Sun is very low at sunset, the mountain casts its shadow upward onto the cloud layer above
Viola riviniana, the dog violet, is also known by the folk names blue mice, horse violet, pig violet and snake violet. An old Gaelic name for this #wildflower is 'salchuach', or ‘cuckoo's heel’, which is a reference to the curved shape of the flower spur. #FolkloreSunday#nature
