Okay y'all I've got some beef.
I have been seeing it talked about that the pros should be doing events for smaller prize pools, less pay, etc.
That orgs dropping out of the scene and less events are happening is the fault of the pros for not putting in the effort for content, brand exposure, among other things.
Though I agree and wish the pros would do more to support the brands and community they represent... ya'll know that you're at fault too, right?
All those bubble scene tournaments and self funded events that you don't watch. All the content creators you don't support. All the sponsored tweets and content from orgs, players, or creators that you don't like/comment on.
Your impressions are worth something. By not interacting and supporting the brands behind the scenes, you are telling them their money into the scene isn't worth it.
They aren't mindlessly throwing funds at the esport because they love the game like most people are treating it. They are doing it as an investment into their brand and history. Don't let them leave thinking 'that was a mistake.'
Stop blaming your 'teammates' and change what you are doing if you want to see things get better.
