Chingford Plain // Once a great deer park for Royal Hunts & the starting point for the annual Epping Hunt during 18th & 19th C. Horses & hounds would gallop into Bury Wood in hunt of fallow deer. You can still see herds of fallow deer that roam the quieter parts of the forest.
What makes a view? On Sunday 16th September I'll be asking this question while we journey around the landscape of @E17Wetlands exploring how we 'see' through drawing. Really looking forward to it! Book your tickets here; https://t.co/OUB6TBGj0R #drawingworkshop#landscape#E17
Yesterday I spent the afternoon at Walthamstow Wetlands. Mid-week it is one of the most peaceful places to escape to. I sat in the same spot for an hour, surrounded by the chatter of warblers and water fowl amongst the rustling of reeds and willow. @E17Wetlands
Today is #Bloomsday !! See the #Tottenham Tree Trail 'Seven Sisters is my nighbrood' @TiCLme with quotes from #JamesJoyce#Ulysses - each tree has its own quote. Tottenham is mentioned in Ulysses; the title of the trail is from Joyce's #FinnegansWake https://t.co/Zw754axw6u
