In a remarkable feat of endurance and faith, 13-year-old Austin Applebee of Perth, Western Australia, has captured global attention after a harrowing maritime rescue.

Facing rough seas and dangerous conditions, Applebee swam approximately 4 kilometers over the course of nearly four hours to reach help after his family was swept offshore. His heroic actions directly led to the rescue of his mother and siblings.

NEW: The family of fallen Army Staff Sgt. Michael Ollis receives a call from President Trump, telling them their son would posthumously receive the Medal of Honor.

Ollis was killed in Afghanistan in 2013 when he shielded a Polish army officer from a su*cide bomber.

Ollis saved the life of Karol Cierpica, who became the father of a baby boy shortly after.

Cierpica named the boy 'Michael' in honor of Michael Ollis.

"Your son is gonna get the highest honor that you can have. There's no higher honor than the Congressional Medal of Honor," Trump said on the call.

A 26-year-old student sent a message to his teacher to explain that he will be absent from the class because he has not found anyone to take care of his five-month-old daughter...

Nathan Alexander, 34, a math professor at Morehouse College (Atlanta) responded to his student by saying:

"If that's the problem, take her to class."

Upon arriving in the classroom, the teacher offered to take the child so that his student could devote himself entirely to the course.

The teacher held the child throughout the lesson and even after, when he answered the students questions.
