WE DID IT: with a landslide margin of 1785–912, we are officially the MITGSU-UE!!!
What started 4 years ago with a dozen students in an MIT classroom discussing the needs of graduate workers has culminated in this historic victory for student-workers at MIT. Now, we celebrate!
@EtienneT_Esq @OlufemiOTaiwo@DavidpStein Third party arbitration for cases of harassment and discrimination where adviser/faculty harasses a worker! Currently a biased internal system for sexual harassment, no system for racial discrimination.
🚨🚨🚨First-year students stage a walkout from President Bacow’s address at Parents Weekend in solidarity with student workers. Here’s what they had to say ⬇️ #HarvardonStrike 🚨🚨🚨
Today, as a member of Harvard’s graduate student union, I voted to authorize a strike for this fall. Their current proposals on raises and sexual harassment protections (e.g. lack thereof) are unconscionable.

I think the most unrealistic part of @YoungSheldon is that Sheldon knows quantum physics but doesn’t know how to differentiate under an integral.
That and scientists actually wearing white coats.

Need a protein fusion hybrid? Oh no biggie just MAKE 800 MUTANTS AND HOPE ONE WORKS.

For those who (rightly) want to punish those who invaded the Capitol but look forward to working again with Trump’s elite enablers, recall Lincoln:
“Must I shoot a simple-minded soldier boy who deserts, while I must not touch a hair of a wiley agitator who induces him to desert?”
Hugely impressed with republican senators voicing their affirmation of the electoral college votes on @NewsHour but also like.... where were y’all like yesterday
Christening my return to Twitter on a day where absolutely nothing important happened. Obviously.
In other news the Senate chamber is good entertainment right now.
