2) I used to thing I could miraculously do three things at once. Learning to ask for specific help has been life changing. A tie delivered to the funeral home, a mountain of catering set out while we’re at the service, a gluten free dinner... Tell your people how to help you.

It’s always a rush getting through the first month of the fall semester. Adding in my new role, my first comprehensive campaign, the launch of our new strategic plan and a massive social media audit and it’s been a gauntlet. But that’s all felt doable.

1) I used to be afraid to say what was going on in my life, but look, when you’re not afraid to say why you aren’t 100%, your colleagues can carry your load. I’ve lost count of emails I’ve been gently booted from & texts that have come back “Done. Don’t think about it any more.”
