What to Know Before Coach O’Connor’s Thursday Night Debut At The Dude 👇

Mississippi State Athletics will host a public welcome event for new head baseball coach Brian O'Connor on Thursday evening at Dudy Noble Field. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. CT, with the celebration beginning at 7 p.m. CT.

The event is free and open to all fans. Seating throughout the grandstands will be general admission on a first-come, first-served basis. Chairbacks will not be reserved.

The Left Field Lounge will be open to rig owners, with grilling permitted in accordance with normal stadium policies. Rig-specific details will be shared directly with owners via the Bulldog Club.

Regular baseball game-day policies, including cooler and prohibited item guidelines, will be in effect and can be reviewed here.

Concession stands will be open and will feature several gameday-style deals, including:

• $5 domestic beers

• $3 food options: hotdogs, nachos, fresh popcorn, peanuts, candy, and chips

• $3 beverages: bottled soda, Smart Water, Powerade, and Dasani

• $3 frozen treats: ice cream bars, vanilla nutty cones, and ice cream cups

The State Style team store located on the first base concourse will be open during the event, featuring an exclusive Brian O'Connor T-shirt available for early access purchase on Thursday night. The shirt will also be available through additional retail outlets beginning Friday.

Public parking will be available in baseball game-day lots two through five, the outfield lot, the Bryan Building lot and the North Garage. ADA parking will be available in the gameday ADA lot just east of Humphrey Coliseum.

Fans unable to attend in person can stream the welcome event live on SEC Network+

Shortly after the on-field celebration, a media press conference with Coach O'Connor and Director of Athletics Zac Selmon will also stream live on SEC Network+.

O'Connor, a national championship-winning coach and 2024 Hall of Fame inductee, was named the 19th head baseball coach in Mississippi State history earlier this week.
