Really enjoying the week with @Physacourses on Pop genomic inference from low coverage whole genome sequencing. Many thanks to the @MarineInst for funding my attendance! 🦈🐟
🚀 Kicking off the "Population Genomic Inference from Low-Coverage Whole Genome Sequencing" course! 🎉 With an incredible team of instructors: @ntherk, @tpLinderoth, @NicolasLou10, @fishyomics, and a group of attendees exploring a wide range of diverse systems. 🧬🌍

And we're really grateful to our organising committee for hosting AIMS2024 in @ATU_GalwayCity. No Event managers, no conference companies, just a group of people on the ground running around and annoying people to get things done!
@David_Smyth_eco from @MfrcATU discusses the habitat preferences of lesser horseshoe bats 🦇
'Lesser horseshoe bats like woodland- we're probably not going to get into Nature'
#BatSummer#AIMS2024
Delighted to have had the opportunity to help organise #AIMS2024 in @ATU_GalwayCity and @MfrcATU . An absolutely fantastic group speakers and attendees.
Already looking forward to the next one!

The latest @NativeWoodTrust magazine is, as usual, jam packed with exciting reports + news.
This leapt out at me: **93%** of trail camera images in Wicklow were of sika deer or hybrids. Yet this highly invasive species is STILL legally protected 🤦♂️
What topic should you submit to AIMS 2024?
Whatever floats your "goat"!
Help me to stop sharing these terrible promotional puns by submitting your abstract before July 31st!

I'm so proud today to officially announce, with Minister @DarraghOBrienTD, Ireland's eighth and largest national park: Páirc Náisiúnta na Mara, Ciarraí. With the Conor Pass as its gateway, our first marine national park will see this iconic place protected for future generations.
Always such a ray of hope when a White Skate record comes in! ✨️🩵
And we fast tracked this one up to the team in @MfrcATU where the team are going to try to extract DNA from the eggcase which will help toward future surveying and ultimately conservation efforts 💪🙏
