Idk man, I've been reading "Rest is Resistance" by Tricia Hersey and feeling fired up. I think everyone should read it, but especially journalists and JOC. We're more than our work, even though our work is important. Moreover, our best work can't come from a place of burnout.
Understand I mean this mainly as a critique of the industry as a whole and not the individuals who feel pressured to do it, but the fact that so many journalists are constantly joking about "lol worked through lunch! My meal was a slim jim and energy drink!" is deeply sad.

Reminder that food insecurity is common on college campuses, even at “fancy schools.”
