We learned about choice boards today in class, it gives students some power in what they want to learn! Definitely something educators should be using #tec207
@ScottRRocco A16- I would warn them about what is out there and how things are never truly deleted. If someone posted the same thing about them, would they be happy? Give them information on what personal info not to post #tec207
@ScottRRocco A15- students need to take the information they learn on social media and apply it to other things. I think it is possible but would be hard for students who are not used to it #tec207
@ScottRRocco A12- you shouldn't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person. Calling or talking in person helps reduce the extreme comments you wouldn't tell someone face to face #tec207
@MissVictoriaK@ScottRRocco Different students have different ideas and you can learn something from another student you wouldn't learn from a teacher #tec207
@ScottRRocco A11- I think the best way to use this strategy is take a step away when something frustrates you. Don't act right away and leave the situation alone #tec207
@ScottRRocco A10- skills learned through technology are important things other than technology. I will identify the transferability of these skills by giving different activites to students. Not centering the whole class around technology #tec207
@ScottRRocco A9- teamwork and collaboration is key in everything in life. It is one of the most desired characteristics by companies. School is a building block of this and teachers don't want to lose this when using edtec. #tec207
@MeadowMedina@ScottRRocco Organization is key! I remember being in classes with no organization and vaulable time was wasted and no one knew what was going on #tec207
@ScottRRocco A8- it can be hard with technology to see if all students are understanding a concept. Collaboration is also important and that can sometimes be lost in technology. Teachers don't want to lose these valubale things! #tec207
@ScottRRocco A7- a core set of tools is great for getting students comfortable with the same thing. This way time is not being used explaining a new tool but used for learning. This helps students feel comfortable using the same technology. #tec207
@ScottRRocco A6- The comparison to cauliflower is saying that we have used cauliflower in many different ways like we have used technology in different ways. This will impact the classroom by using a variety of things to get students to understand. Things like videos, pictures, etc. #tec207
@AysiahLena@ScottRRocco This made me think of a quote from a past professor, "teaching is loving something so much your students learn to love it too" #tec207
