You give them the pin, they pretend to enter the pin, the passenger is none the wiser. The only way a pin would protect a passenger is if the driver had to confirm it to them

@jbogoblue @BhamMiniac @kristabellerina If the driver can’t start the ride till he has the code from you it’s ensuring they have the right passenger, how does it protect the passenger? A bogus driver/taxi won’t actually need a code. Am I missing something?
