There was a moment there where I was sure I wasn’t gonna finish my degree, after losing my mum & hospital admissions for mental illness last year I really resigned myself to having had wasted three years of my life, but @TrentUni were so supportive. Thank u! #graduation #graduate

My mother kept orchids. They were finicky things. Always infected with mealy bug. They required constant tending to. In a way grief is like this. Needy & temperamental.

Honoured to have received a FIRST CLASS HONOURS DEGREE from @NottmTrentUni as well as an award to recognise my outstanding achievement while in the face of adversity. I lost my mum to cancer last year and thought I wouldn’t finish my studies, yet here I am! Let’s go! #graduate

This week is speaking assessment week for my students at @BritishCouncil - did their reports today & I'm so proud of their continual improvement. I teach on the #STEPUkraine programme (partnered w/ @WJRelief) working w/ refugees and their resilience and tenacity is awe-inspiring.
