Today I signed an Executive Order to protect the reproductive rights of women in the aftermath of the Supreme Court's extreme decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.
It formalizes the actions I announced right after the decision and will add new measures to protect women's health.
I've seen hundreds of tweets about telling women to stop having sex if they don't want to get pregnant but I've seen zero calls for men to become celibate. It will never cease to amaze me how little men are blamed for getting someone pregnant. This is about control and patriarchy
BREAKING! California makes history as the FIRST state in the nation to remove exclusions to health care for all income-eligible residents, regardless of age or immigration status! #Health4All@CAgovernor
@EmmyLou247 U can take every precaution and still get pregnant. Are u paying the hospital bill? Are ur hormones going to go crazy? Is ur body going to be changed forever? Are you going to be fatigue? Are u going to be uncomfortable in your body for 9 months? No? Then ur opinion is irrelevant
@knittel_edward @MauiMescudi@tonywrongone@uhprome@INTERIORPORN1 There are so many negative side effects to birth control and women are expected to take for years. It can cause weight gain, acne, mood swings, hair loss, depression; all things that lower our self-esteem. But for some reason it’s a ridiculous idea to suggest men take it instead
do you ever think about all the negative effects that birth control has both physically and mentally and then realize that you started taking it during your most formative years and have been taking it for nearly half of your life and you’re not even sure if you’re really ~you~
@realDonaldTrump Trump is discouraging Mail-In Ballots and going so far as to sabotage the US Postal Service because he wants as few Americans to vote as possible. He wants elderly Americans to stay home out of fear on election day during a pandemic. Meanwhile, Trump’s whole family voted by mail.
