my professor has assignments that are worth 0 points & she threatened to drop me bc I don’t do them so I emailed her about it & she put a sentence out of context on the board & roasted this “student” if that wasn’t the most passive aggressive thing I’ve ever been a part of 💀
I tried to show restraint with the amount of exclamation marks I use so I sent an email with none and she replied with not one but TWO exclamation marks and a smiley face so now I just feel like a bitch plan failed will not be attempting again
at the all hands meeting we had this week, one of my supervisors expressed her frustration with telling customers no by stating, “I’m just so tired of saying the n word.” and the rush of silent anxious confusion that swept that office was PALPABLE
my favorite cooking activity is to host a tutorial in my head, including side bits where I address the hypothetical hate comments I’d receive for certain techniques or ingredients, which is a long winded way to say my new meds are doing the best they can with limited resources
fireworks are one of those things that always sound cooler than they are & I feel obligated to witness, I could go the rest of my life without watching them. after the first 3 it’s like alright well that was that, now what. overrated, boring, uninspired, predicable, minimal vibes
I'm not saying that The Masked Singer is a sign that we're living in a dystopia, but it's definitely the kind of show that the characters would watch in a movie about living in a dystopia.
I consider myself a good speller and pride myself on it for whatever reason. I was casting my screen and taking notes for my CEO today and he asks me to request “hors d’oeuvres”. incredibly humbling moment as I paused, thought for too long, and wrote out “orderves”. brb gonna cry
@amanda_wray21 ooh mixing it up, I used rice vinegar but I think next time I’m going to dabble with some apple cider vinegar I think the sweetness will play well with it also I added jalapeños which were also very delightful and I recommend
