That’s about expectations and direction, not a guarantee of avoiding bottom standings during a rebuild. I get your point though…

@scheib43 @ByScottPowers @nytimes Yes that was the last year they made the playoffs until 2009. No other GM ever said we are rebuilding like KD did. I just think it takes time is my only point. Those cup teams took a long time to build. People think Kane and Toews was the start and they were the last.

@scheib43 @ByScottPowers @nytimes Not true.. Duncan Keith and Seabrook were the start of the pieces being drafted for those teams and that was 2002 and 2003. Kane and Toews were the last of those pieces during that rebuild..
