From a punting perspective it's a headscratcher because it's not like the non-grade 1 races will be any less exerting.

@RacingPost Having his horses as bent as allen keys is the only way he can make money, the big owners won't touch him. Handicapper has had his pants pulled down all season by his hurdlers.

@racingblogger They made it safer by altering the race and qualification requirements but it's impacted the field sizes + classier horses have been put forward for it scaring rivals off. Should have culled this and kept the novices' handicap chase.
