@MelissaRNMBA @CScottSmith3 @Mappy6984 This monumental case also does work retroactively. Yes the Supreme Court did affirm that notion as well. The reason behind this case law is because 1. It’s an extreme sentence for a juvenile and 2. There is absolutely a high chance of guaranteed rehabilitation to re-enter society

@MelissaRNMBA @CScottSmith3 @Mappy6984 Due to federal law she can not receive a life without parole sentence due to the crime being committed when she was a juvenile. She is eligible for parole after 25 years I believe. It all started with Miller v Alabama and has been used as case law and yes you can look it up. 1/2
