Update on the Neville Dsouza football ground, Bandra.
Mumbai Football Association (MFA) has “no right of any nature” over the open plot in Bandra (West) that it has been using as the Neville D’Souza Football Ground, Mhada has told the Bombay High Court, opposing the association’s petition challenging a proposal to change the plot’s reservation to a convention centre.
Mhada, in an affidavit filed in response to the MFA’s petition, reiterated its stand placed before the HC on August 20. It said the plot has been reserved for a convention centre since 1983 and that the MFA’s use of the land as a football ground was based only on temporary and conditional permissions.
