Officials with the U.S. Navy's elite Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron said they're conducting a review after social media footage showed a jet flying low over a crowd of beachgoers in Pensacola Beach, Florida, on Wednesday morning.

"During an arrival maneuver, an aircraft flew lower than standard profiles, resulting in a disturbance on the beach that affected civilian chairs and umbrellas," the statement said, calling it a "low-altitude pass."

In the statement, the Blue Angels said: "The safety of our hometown community, spectators, and our pilots is our highest priority. Team leadership is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the maneuver and conducting a thorough safety review to ensure all operations adhere to strict Navy and FAA safety standards."

Initial reports indicate K2 Airways Flight KTA1732 crashed into the North Arabian Sea after reportedly experiencing a navigation failure. At this stage, no official cause has been established.

The aircraft’s last reported vertical speed was approximately 22,400 feet per minute, indicating it entered an extremely rapid descent in its final moments. Such a descent is consistent with a catastrophic emergency, but not with any single specific cause.

Scenario 1: Loss of Control
A failure affecting the aircraft’s navigation, flight controls, or other critical systems may have resulted in a loss of control and an unrecoverable dive.

Scenario 2: Structural Failure
A major structural failure involving a wing, tail, or other primary structure could have caused the aircraft to lose stability and descend rapidly. Investigators will examine the wreckage pattern for evidence.

Scenario 3: Multiple System Failures
If the reported navigation failure was accompanied by failures of other aircraft systems, the crew may have been overwhelmed by a cascading emergency that became impossible to recover from.

Scenario 4: Mid-Air Collision
Another possibility is that the aircraft collided with another object in flight, such as another aircraft, a large bird strike affecting critical systems, or another airborne object. Whether this occurred would depend on radar data, debris distribution, and forensic examination of the wreckage.

Scenario 5: In-Flight Explosion or Catastrophic Event
An internal explosion, onboard fire, or another catastrophic event cannot be ruled out at this stage. Evidence from the flight recorders and recovered wreckage will be crucial in determining if this occurred.
