@Nicky_Ortist@ZooAlgae He did not directly comment on the controversy, but it's impossible to believe he was unaware of the backlash his peer (also a former outspoken critic of generative AI) was facing. It requires no great leap in logic to conclude that Del Toro was indirectly signaling his position.
@Nicky_Ortist@ZooAlgae A few hours after Gutierrez defended his (now cancelled?) AI series, Guillermo del Toro (an outspoken critic of generative AI) praised an upcoming Mexican stop motion project specifically for being human made, as opposed to being AI generated.
Briefly returning to say THANKS to my friend Antony for signal boosting my Jammy Guy. I am making a comic and a video game and devlogs and answering questions and all sorts of stuff. Links:

uhhh and I have discord. you can ask me for that if you'd like.
I doubt this place will fall apart technically, at least to the point of having to shut down or becoming inoperable. But I am much less interested in participating these days.
@jonkristinsson Another miserable side effect is the engagement boost from people paying the monthly fee. Every post you click on is just a parade of the dumbest comments imaginable.
