Network of researchers and students at @Radboud_uni & @radboudumc ▪ Interfaculty-Interdisciplinary ▪ Focus on complex systems thinking and complexity sciences
Are you interested in #networkscience? We’re hosting a lecture with Ton Coolen about how to effectively model the world using #networks!
Come join us on January 30th! Message us for the link! Read the description below:
Very often we do not fully know how the variables in network interacts, so we use #randomgraphs as substitutes for the real network. However, these random graphs - because they're substitutes for real networks - aren’t always useful and this poses a problem.
Thank you Arte for your your knowledge and your passion. If you want to know more, contact @deCO2assistent for more information. Various groups here in NL are talking about the matter. Get in touch and start thinking how you can include more sustainable practices in your field!
Therefore, #planetaryhealth, by making us aware of this link, aims to promote practices in education and governance that will lead to a healthier planet and a healthier humanity.
Have you heard of #planetaryhealth? Here at RICH we're organizing a lecture about in collaboration with @deCO2assistent. It will be Monday, November 28th, from 13:30-14:45, online (contact us to get the link!)
And just in case you haven't heard of the concept here's a summary:
It was an informative session that we hope helped students with their decision to choose a master’s.
If you’re also curious about us, feel free to contact us! We’ll be happy to help.
Bachelor students who were curious about what we did attended our presentation and learned about who we are, what #interdisciplinary master’s programs are offered at Radboud University, and what #complexitythinking is all about.
In sum, the goal of the lecture is to inform the RICH network of the concept of Planetary Health and stimulate the attendees to think of how their fields could benefit from and collaborate with it.

Given that our health is inextricably linked with that of our planet’s, our scientific, educational, and personal agendas should align with this notion if we are to become a healthier, more sustainable society.
