Radical AI

Discover and develop novel materials with the world's most advanced self-driving lab.

RAI-939 outperformed industry-leading aerospace material C103 by 125x.

In a head-to-head torch test, Purdue Applied Research Institute confirmed that Radical AI’s RAI-939 sample exhibited superior environmental survivability to C103.

C103 has been in use since the Apollo program, but its performance limitations and constrained supply have fueled a decades-long search for a replacement.

Our lab discovered that replacement in just 16 weeks.

Now, we aim to scale up production of the alloy to make bigger components.

Next Thursday, @josephfkrause joins the "Built Here" panel at the @CrainsNewYork Tech Summit.

He'll discuss why we are building our self-driving materials labs right here in New York City.

Proud to be building in the greatest city in the world.

New technologies are bottlenecked by materials that don't exist yet.

Our self-driving lab takes the 20-year materials discovery process down to a matter of weeks.

AI-powered invention will create jobs, not eliminate them.

Self-driving labs remove the bottlenecks to new materials, the foundation of new technologies and entire industries.

AI designs every experiment. Each result informs the next. The lab runs 24/7.

This is the new speed of science. Discover and develop materials in weeks, not years.

When we started the company it was a big technological bet on the combination of AI, robotics, automation and software coming together to change the way physical science worked. It was about using all of that to create a closed-loop approach to experiments that compounded with every turn.

Less than 18 months after founding we'd gone from 2 people in @josephfkrause apartment to a full team that had just completed the build of System One, our first lab. 12 months later, we're recognized by @TIME.

Science will continue to develop technologically and @RadicalAI will be a massive part of that change. We've gone from bet to recognition. Now more work to do to push this forward on a broader scale.

Today, @TIME featured our self-driving lab on its 2026 Best Inventions list.

Materials will be what accelerates the possibilities of new inventions, not what slows them down.

Congratulations to the entire @RadicalAI team on this achievement...the world-changing potential of Radical AI’s self-driving lab is something we’ve believed in for a long time.

Today, a much larger audience is taking notice.
