@tofuafficionado Like my gf isn't vegan, but she has such a powerful compassion for animals on distress, but the contradiction is still there. She tried helping a fledgling bird that still ended up dying. We could only ease its suffering in the end, yet the very next meal, she's ordering chicken.

@tofuafficionado I just sorta fell into veganism, but a few days after starting, the contradiction hit me so hard. Like every other progressive value I could look around and see examples around me, but animal rights feels like everyone just looks the other way. It's not even considered.

@shrugdeaIer @tofuafficionado Horseback riding was the catalyst for me going vegan. I rode the largest horse available and could still tell how burdensome i was and im not a big guy. He also seemed to want to get on with it any time we stopped on the route. I did let him graze whenever he wanted tho.
