TODAY @ 4:20 pm -- In 1939, Time Magazine called Dorothy Thompson a woman who “thinks, talks and sleeps world problems — and scares men half to death.” They weren’t wrong.

really proud of producing this! the story of a woman whose outspokenness spanned from Jewish refugees in WWII to Palestinian refugees thereafter. listen and learn!
Once an advocate of Zionism, Dorothy Thompson wrote, following a trip to Palestine in 1945: “I had to speak out about this, for the same reason I had to speak out about Hitler. But my Zionist friends don’t seem to understand the universality of simple moral principles.”
Dorothy Thompson was the first American journalist to be expelled by the Nazi regime. Back in the states, she established herself as prominent voice against fascism.
On the podcast today, the final Making Waves story: the woman who warned the world.
