@BrandonTozzo@kwetoday I’ve been driving on my own for most of my driving life. It wasn’t until I was with a White partner that I realized that cops don’t take their guns out when they walk up to your car after they’ve pulled you over for something like a missing tail light or doing 70 in a 65.
@fcosalabrnn@AlejandroFranco Mi amor, en Portland se sabe que el criminalizar la droga no quita la adición. Con legalizarlo, se le puede dar tratamiento a la persona de forma segura y permanente.

@Oldwhiteguy64 @DavidBegnaud@MeldakYellow You’re very kind to listen, I hope what you learn here will fuel further research.
I was born and raised for 20 years there and return regularly. I’m in the states for medical reasons but think of the day I return hourly.

@SwiftMighty @ratalegria @DavidBegnaud we’ve voted on it many times; each time to a different set of democratic or republican congress/president.
Each time is like voting into the void.
I will second @ratalegria and add that this vote is fueled by the statehood party and that’s almost entirely republican money.
Y’all keep asking for justice for Breonna Taylor from the very system that killed her and I feel like there’s a giant disconnect being willfully ignored here.

@VioletRiotGames My mother and grandmother. We put butter or oil at the bottom of the pot that we heat with the salt before putting in the water. Once the water boils off, it fries the rice and makes this crunchy pegao that’ll destroy your teeth and is delicious.

@DavidBegnaud My opinion of that document is that a nation kept from self determination without the validation of the congress that refuses to recognize their representation/vote is as clear an example of colonialism as I can find.
