We are no world beaters in football, put your best players on the park and play a brand of football they are comfortable with. No one in our team knows this stage, losing is ok but at least show the world your identity. Release the unnecessary self imposed pressure

South Africa qualified top of a group despite being docked 3 points, yes we were terrible last night but fully deserve to be there. Extension of teams did us no favours, that’s not the team to use for this example you’ve been sitting on for some time

I know it’s very early signs but I think this game already shows the flaws with extending the tournament to 48 teams.

The gulf in quality here is huge. We’re just gonna have to watch Haiti, Cape Verde and Jordan get walloped 7-0 on repeat. 32 teams was perfect.
