@BuckROCKGROIN@RotReport Almost all articles lie. Usually, you only notice the lies, when they write about the subject that you have expertise in. Most people notice this but then go back and believe the journos when they talk about other subjects. It's weird.
@LorenzoSleestak When we were kids, we had this fantastic book about famous explorers - Columbus, Malghaes, da Gama, Amundsen, etc. All in a comic book format, it was probably my third most favorite book. Probably first published during the communist era, with no political agenda.
Commodore Perry. About 90% of Japanese school children know, who this man was.
However, since westerners are obsessed with pop culture, not history, I'm sure they just talk about some celebrity junkie from the 90's, who had the same name.
@RotReport A total mystery... Well, at least Germans have to keep buying certain stuff more often than before(therefore increasing the GDP) because the neo-Germans keep stealing it.
Because even though tens of thousands of people bitch incessantly about wanting to have an alternative there were only about fifty people willing to sacrifice a fifth of their monthly coffee budget to support such an alternative. We really deserve what we have. 🤦♀️2/2
I'm not saying this to blame the developers. It's the absolute opposite. It's the people, who bitch and cry about the dominance of two companies, who are the problem. Years ago there was a Kickstarter to support Tupi 2D, then Synfig. These campaigns never reached their goal. 1/
The state of SVG import into non-mainstream animation software:
MOHO 12.5
Synfig Studio 1.4.2
Enve
Yeah, Enve looks fine at first glance, but it has some trouble with masks (just look at the eyes). Still, how come that Enve is so much better than Moho and Synfig?

Is it possible to block a whole language on this app? I remember enjoying using this app, but it changed when I started to get swamped by maddening tweets written in Czech. I would be a lot happier if I never saw the Czech language on X/Twitter again.
