Key Stage 2 started Safer Internet Day 2024 on Tuesday with an assembly from Mr Flynn our Online Safety Consultant. We talked about inspiring change and making a difference by adopting healthy habits online. Thanks to @OnlineBehave#onlinesafety#saferinternetday2024
what an achievement! One of our Year 4 children have completed the summer reading challenge over the six weeks and received a medal and certificate and lots of other goodies along the way. Well done, we are so proud of you!
Today, we had an assembly all about the Summer Reading Challenge that is being run by our local libraries. Jill, from Brownhills Library, told us all about it and the fun events that are taking place over the six weeks holiday. It all sounds great fun and is completely free.
A couple of weeks ago, year 3 and year 5 went on a trip to Baggeridge Country Park. Here are some photos of the children in year 3 enjoying the sunshine and outdoors.
Years 1 & 2 thoroughly enjoyed their joint school trip to ‘The Children’s Play Village’ yesterday! Here are some of our Year 1s having an absolute blast, doing what they love to do best! 😃
Good morning, everyone. As the weather is due to be very sunny and warm today, remember to send children in with water bottles, sun hats, sunglasses and put sun cream on before they arrive. Let's make sure we are all sun safe!
A couple of weeks ago Year 3 created their own cloches in DT to protect the carrots we are growing in our school vegetable beds. Here are some photos of them in action!
That’s it for Year 4! We’re currently reminiscing about our time and giving out experiences. It’s been incredible to see the difference in our children. Were going to now load the coach up. Updates soon.
Half of Year 4 are off caving whilst the other group are rock climbing! It’s quite a tight space but we’ve all made it. We’re trying not to get trapped in the darkness 🙌
Year 4 had a well deserved sleep last night and they slept the whole night! Everyone is now up, fed and packed and ready for our dorm inspection at 9:20am. We have the cave room today (I hope they like the dark!) and rock room. After lunch we will be leaving and keep you updated.
Year 4 children are now winding down and getting ready for bed. They’ve had a VERY busy day and a busy day ahead of them tomorrow morning with indoor caving and rock room!
Year 4 are now outside for free time and are all full after evening meal. Slightly earlier bedtime this evening (hurrah!) as the children are exhausted after their VERY successful navigation of the canal today!
Year 4 are back on safe, dry land but the kids are absolutely soaked! They’ve had the best of times but now it’s time to get dry and warm and ready for evening meal. Number plates challenge tonight.
Year 4 we’re all up at the crack of dawn this morning and are looking forward to their breakfasts this morning. Tidy beds, rooms and chores are done! We have a day or blindfolded orienteering this morning and canoeing this afternoon 🛶
