@AnonRadDoc@francisdeng how am I going to learn radiology without radiopaedia?
attendings too far down the list to teach, on us as residents to learn salient points, limited readouts
reality of modern radiology training
@jack_turban It exists, but it’s entirely disconnected from a real community feel as many of us have become semi-anonymous
#Bluesky tried to migrate medtwitter but ended up getting all the performative messages without any of the substance
HISTORY HAS BEEN MADE 🫨
Sabastian Sawe becomes the first person ever to break the 2-hour barrier in official race conditions, storming to a historic 1:59:30‼️
@KejelchaYomif, on his marathon debut, also breaks 2 hours with a stunning 1:59:41 and @jacobkiplimo2 clocks 2:00:28, also faster than the previous world record 😤
@northwoods1980@Leooweb3 250K car as a mid-career radiologist is a striking question.
Very few of us are hitting the 10m figure at 50s, so do you buy the car while youre young and it’s a stretch
Or do you wait for compounding and get the Porsche at 70
@Jesse_Leg As long as he stops pushing American inferiority with his “c-word” tweet putting down the alphas of society and replacing them with rote memorizers
It turns out that when people that were at the top of the class, and were required to endure extreme self-sacrifice for 15+ years, and start their first real job at age 35, that they do in fact want to be able to live in the nice neighborhood along with the corporate types.
Radiology trainee here. At risk of wasting your time: Will we figure it out?
We can assume recent implant has MRI conditional mode
1) we don’t know the manufacturer without records
2) we don’t know how to turn it to MRI mode ourselves
So how do we figure this out in the department? Do we offer this for every suspected cord compression patient?
My dad was in the hospital for a few weeks over Christmas. 4 days into his stay, he started starting having wild hallucinations. I asked the doctors if it could be any new medications, they all insisted it wasn’t.
ChatGPT identified that a small number of older men with his profile can experience hallucinations as a side effect of an antibiotic they put him on the previous evening. I insisted they take him off that medication and the hallucinations stopped.
New York progressive what to make that illegal and think I should have just trusted the doctors who were dismissing his suffering.
