The reason the government so insanely inefficient is that those in the government are spending your money on somebody else.
That’s why we should minimize how much the government does. It is simply a giant version of the DMV!
Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv. One of the most important CHILDREN’S hospitals not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe. Okhmatdyt has been saving and restoring the health of thousands of children.
Now that the hospital has been damaged by a Russian strike, there are people under the rubble, and the exact number of casualties is still unknown. Right now, everyone is helping to clear the rubble – doctors and ordinary people.
Russia cannot claim ignorance of where its missiles are flying and must be held fully accountable for all its crimes. Against people, against children, against humanity in general. It is very important that the world does not remain silent about this now, and that everyone sees what Russia is and what it is doing.
I never thought I'd say this, but I need your help:
Buy Me A Coffee has blocked my account and so I can no longer receive donations from you to support our guys from the International Legion for Defense of Ukraine who are now fighting in what I consider the most important battle of the year, i.e. Chasiv Yar, nor those from the Romanian BattleGroup "Getica", the group of Romanian fighters that I founded together with a Romanian soldier from the ZSU and the President of the Veterans and Reservists of the Republic of Moldova, who is also fighting in Ukraine since March 2022.
Perhaps least important to you, but still important to me, is the fact that with this account freeze, the Buy Me A Coffee service cut off my personal income, because as a political consulting practitioner, I gave up my membership in the year the invasion began so that I could go to Ukraine and help those who really need help. My personal financial situation at the time allowed me to do that for a while, and then I turned to services like Buy Me A Coffee. Until a few hours ago, when I found out that I had violated the terms and conditions. What terms did I violate? Probably that I'm not allowed to promote certain political positions through the content I create, such as unequivocally supporting Ukraine in its fight for independence and sovereignty. If that bothers the Buy Me A Coffee people, that's their problem.
Very interestingly, there is a link to appeal their decision, but guess what happens when you click on the link? It pops up "404 - The page you're looking for doesn't exist.". I kid you not.
So I contacted their support, who obviously hadn't responded so far, so I looked for an alternative and found it - Ko-Fi. I'm posting the link to my page for a Kofi or 10 or 100, precisely because I'm sure you'll still want to support my work and my work, but especially to continue fundraising for our boys.
For those who don't know me and my work in Ukraine, to reassure them before the abusive comments start I'll just say this:
I raised alone through my Facebook page over 700,000 euros and turned it into goods for Ukraine, meaning
- I built a complete mobile military hospital in memory of my friend Oleg Gubal;
- over 20 SUVs sent to different brigades;
- Tablets, multiple Mavic 30T, Autel, Mavic 3T, Matrix drones and controllers for various brigades including AZOV;
- over 30 high-power generators for winter 2022-2023;
- repair of the Kherson water and canal station serving 130,000 people, which was flooded and thus destroyed after the Nova Khahovka terrorist disaster;
- 5 ambulances;
- 1 fire engine for Bakhmut;
- I spent almost 6 months at the front as a military volunteer, and war correspondent to deliver the aid I mentioned above. I was in Bakhmut under siege 3 times, in Chasiv Yar, on the counteroffensive in Kharkiv and almost all eastern frontline and south, Mykolaiv-Kherson sector;
For all this I was awarded the Order of Merit by President Volodymyr Zelensky, received the medal "For Service and Valour" from the Commander of the United Forces of Ukraine, Major General Serhii Naev, and the medal "Big Heart" for the help given to the 101st TRO Brigade.
Unfortunately, these merits and medals don't keep the guys from Chasiv Yar warm either, they don't allow me to continue my work just for the fight in Ukraine. So, if you've made it this far to read, you're already heroes and I invite you to lend me a hand with a retweet and a coffee (or even 100, it's recommended lol) using the link in the first comment.
Thank you @Official_NAFO and especially @NAFO_RO for your help so far in my Twitter fundraising. I have tagged you guys because your HELP! So please help a brother out!
Slava Ukraini!
Timely and sufficient decisions on air defense for Ukraine and timely weapon supplies for our warriors are what we need right now to protect lives.
Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions. Russian terrorists have shelled our cities and regions more than 380 times this week alone. And it happens every week of this war.
Russia’s daily deliberate terror against our people, cities, and villages can be stopped. Our partners have all of the necessary systems and weapons to enable Ukraine to protect lives.
I am grateful to all of the leaders and states who recognize that prompt delivery and full implementation of the agreements protects not only Ukrainians, but all nations that may be targeted by Russian terror.
❗️Important. Please help spread this message.
Friends,
You know as well as I do that timely delivery of weapons and ammunition is key to sustaining the frontlines in Ukraine (not to mention anything more ambitious). Without that, Ukrainian Defenders won't be able to hold their positions against Russian attacks.
There are defense packages announced by many countries, including the United States, about providing weapons and shells for Ukraine (thank you!) However, what we sometimes don't realize is that a (sometimes large) part of this is not about "ready" weapons that will start moving towards the battlefield. It is about contracts the countries' defense ministries sign with weapon producers to make these weapons in the future - at times, a distant future.
In simple terms, that means, that, say, air defense systems that are bought for Ukraine, will not actually arrive here for years. But if Ukraine loses (and we obviously cannot win or even hold on without air defense systems, weapons and ammunition), then all this money will be essentially spent very ineffectively. 10,000 FPV drones delivered next month would make immeasurably more impact than something with a similar cost but delivered in 2030.
The solution? Give at least part of the allocated money to Ukrainian weapons manufacturers, as well as licences to produce foreign weapons in Ukraine. Yes, it is risky because we are a war country, but underground facitilies and a number of other security measures can counter that.
Friends, it is all plain and simple: time plays against Ukraine and into Russia's hands. There is no time for getting ready, increasing production etc. - it needs to happen now. Ukrainian weapons manufacturers are capable, they just need the resources. Additionally, that would help boost Ukrainian economy.
The time to act is now.
