This week year 11 food students are completing their egg challenge. They cooked eggs in different ways and focused on presentation techniques. Some creative results from 11D today.

A busy week in the Food department! Year 12 produced some amazing dishes of restaurant standard. Year 10 made tea cakes, some challenged themselves to make biscuits and marshmallow in a one hour lesson. We gave seen some fantastic extended writing and DIRT tasks taking place.

Made it to the end of term and finished with a celebration brunch with my form. Well done to 7West for a great start to the year. Lots of achievements and many finishing with 100% attendance. π

Some fantastic practical work this week. Pupils in year 9 worked independently using a range of skills to make gelatine cheese cake, and quiche. Year 11 completed NEA trial dishes. Year 12 students have been learning the chemical structure of the macronutrients.
Some fabulous practical work this week, year 8 made savoury bites, year 9 made cheese straws and salsa dip and year 10 made Chelsea buns. Students have produced some great extended writing tasks in Health and Food lessons and are responded well to feedback.
