On day 1 of my high school history class, our professor got up and said
You are 15 or 16 years old. 200 years ago people your age were married, planted crops, had children, and built a cabin by winter. You can do your homework. The bar set for you historically is embarrassingly low. You are not dealing with regional famine or plague. You do not have to save your family from marauders or go into battle to destroy your enemies. You have to sit down and learn from someone who cares about you in a safe, air-conditioned room. You have no excuses.
Happy DII Day! Today and everyday we celebrate the dedication and balance of our student-athletes. Getting it done in the classroom, in the community, and on the basketball court- defining what division 2 is all about ๐๐๐

๐จ THE โLAST TIME I HOLD YOUโ TREND IS BREAKING EVERYONE ON TIKTOK - AND THIS ONE MIGHT BE THE HARDEST TO WATCH
This mom saw a TikTok saying thereโs always a โlast timeโ you ever pick up your kidโฆ and you never know when it is.
So she calls her teenage son over and tries it.
She can barely get the words out:
โI donโt remember the last time I carried you to bedโฆโ
โSay โupโฆ I hold youโ like you used to.โ
โIโll pick you up for the last time.โ
And he actually plays along.
He says โupโฆ I hold youโ the exact way he did as a little kid.
And then she lifts him - even though heโs taller than her now - and she breaks instantly.
The comments are full of grown adults sobbing, moms losing it, and people calling this โthe most emotional trend TikTok has ever had.โ
What really destroyed everyone is that the son participated like he knew exactly what it meant to her.
What would YOU say if you knew it was the last time?
